they comp reminds me to install the updates but when i do it say they failed to install, what can i do?

you could try this Go to your in TOOLS........THEN INTERNET OPTIONS....CLICK ON CONNECTIONS TAB....LAN SETTINGS....ADVANCE.......WHERE IT SAYS HTTP COPY AND PASTE THIS IN THAT BLANK SPACE.....

https://*.update.microsoft.com ... AND TYPE IN THE PORT THIS 80


then go back and try your updates again

Could of microsoft be blocked from your computer or is your computer running a illegal copy of win XP

Also i heard that If you have not got SP2 on your computer all updates stop!

# Run the IPCONFIG /FLUSHDNS command.

To run the ipconfig /flushdns command, follow these steps:

-Click Start, and then click Run.
-In the Open box, type cmd, and the click OK.
-At the command prompt, type the following command, and then press ENTER:

ipconfig /flushdns

Close the command window.
