i often want to check my disks at night and there i have scheduled scandisk to run at night. However there is small problem. I have windows XP and use chkdks.exe with "/f /x" as the parameters. Often checkdisk pauses gving me message saying that it cannot continue as the selected volume is i use. This brings my checkdisk to a complete halt waiting for a user input. How can i prevent this. Is there any other "DOS" disk error checking utility i could use?
