Try using the ATI Unintaller Utility to remove the drivers.

For the .NET Framework, look at the top of the Add or Remove Programs window. Make sure the checkbox next to "Show Updates" is ticked. .NET Framework should be listed with the other Windows updates.

Apparently your Asus MoBo doesn't like the ATI drivers. Let's try the Asus drivers (still ATI drivers, but a different version).

Go to THIS PAGE, expand (click +) the "Others" catagory at the bottom of the list. Scroll down to the Win XP drivers and download them. Install them by double clicking on the downloaded file.

It doesnt work, a warning comes up, Setp was unable to find components that can be installed on your current hardware and software configuration. Please make sure you have the required hardware or software.

I ll try again.

EDIT: nope, doesnt work, same error window!
but a popup from my task bar comes up, saying that i have a new video adapter or something...

Should i try intalling them one by one, like each has a folder..so?
I know the Driver wont install cos a INF error still comes up

It looks like wannabe is basically done helping you, but if that doesn't work I really think it's worth backing up the files you need/really want (apart from CS because you c\an just re-download from steam and apart from your other games assuming you still have the CDs for them...) and then FORMATTING your Hard Drive and installing XP pro or Media Center edition on your PC.
Then you'll have no malware or spyware interfering (which can easily get passed firewalls and anti viruses) and hopefully all the needed drivers will be installed as normal.

That's just my 2 cents,
Dom
