Im sure this will be a very simple query for you computer wiz folks but I have looked in vain for the way to stop automatic dial up. Ive got Windows XP and Tiscali dial up. :

what do you mean by 'automatic dial up'? Whenever you connect to the internet? If that's the case, and you are using IE, tools > options > connections > tick the 'never dial a connection' box.

If that's not the answer you are looking for, we need more info.

Yes, whenever I log on to my computer. I tried what you said and the never dial box wasn't ticked, so I ticked it clicked apply then logged off. It still dialed up automatically as soon as my computer started up again. What more info do you need? Thanks for your help by the way cos Im new to your site. cheers
