I don't know what to say exactly.
This is a fresh install about a week old.
There are other problems also but I don't know how to explain them just yet.
When I open the gimp, a gui opens and the gimp goes through its startup process but once completed the gimp tool box is not open on the screen. The taskbar shows it as open but when I click on the maximise button the computer freezes. I have to push the reboot button to restart the computer.

My apologies for being so vague but its all I know.

Any ideas?

is it just the gimp that does this? or all programs? have you tried reinstalling the gimp?

I have other problems also. Don't know how to explain yet.
Gimp is my greatest concern for the moment.
I've reinstalled the gimp and also tried four different versions.
All downloaded from the gimp.org website.

I have a roxio music burner, and it is trying to open all of my applications, including command prompt and everything in my control panel files does not open automatically and I can not find a program to force open them, is there such a program? I need to get my applications back. Winifighter and a number of antivirus fixes after the virus have been used, but my apps are unavailable to me.

does someone know how to fix this?
