videos play in black and white

i have a problem where when i download videos from the internet and play them they play in black and white when they are supposed to be playing in color.any suggestions?

no sorry this only happens when i download it off the internet but if i load it up like watching a video from youtube.com it works totally fine

Which media player do you use to watch them

If media player, can you you open it, click tools, options, performance, adjust the video acceleration, click apply if you change anything, close the player

Try other players, VLC plays most things

thanks i finally fixed it but wasnt really what you told me i fixed it by going to video acceleration then clicking on advance then changing the use overlays to high quality mode thanks for the help anyways
