Okay folks,


i was running windows xp mce, ran good for 2 wks (after routine reinstall) then computer hung up and auto restarted one night while i was sleeping (yes the computer is on 24/7/365) and i went and checked on it the next morning and noticed that is was hung at a screen telling me that i need to replace/repair the "ntoskrnl" file i know what that file is, core file to the NT OS on windows xp.

yes i have the orginal xp cds. right now it doesnt rank that high of importance, im thinking of reloading XP Pro back on to the mahine again.

computer specs

Biostar M7NCD mainboard
AMD Athlon XP 2400+
1.5 Gigs of ram
1 40 Gig WD hard drive (windows installed on this one)
1 320 Gig WD hard drive (the one that is still f*ed up that im trying to fix with out loosing data)
ATI AIW 9800 Pro

Currently no optical drives (in another computer to get it setup.)

so i cannot really repair this? w/out reloading the OS?
