I use Windows XP. When I go into Display Properties to change my Desktop, the files listed are all the pictures in My Pictures folders. I'm not sure where the normal Desktop pics are held, but someone mentioned C/Windows/Web/Wallpaper...that does list all the normal "Dell", "Bliss", "Gone Fishing" etc - but I can only choose them if I browse for it like I usually would to choose my own picture. This is obviously not essential, but maybe it's symptoms of a virus/spyware/whatever.
This morning I thought my computer was acting funky and so ran through the gamut of instructions here: http://www.geekstogo...?showtopic=2852. It did find some spyware & a virus (yikes, I pay for both Norton & SpySweeper), but apparently disinfected everything. Everything seemed to be normal & clean by Step Four (Reboot test). Except for this desktop picture issue.
At some point today, I did change my desktop picture a couple times, but do almost weekly.
Any suggestions? Am I still infected with something?
Thanks!!
M
