New Motherboard - Front USB not working

It's an ASUS. The rear motherboard ports are fine. The front ports have power, but don't recognize anything plugged into them.

XP Home, SP2 fully updated

It is most likely a wiring issue. Refer to your motherboard manual and case manual (if any). You may need to identify the wires inside the case where they connect to the usb port, and trace them back to the motherboard. Then make sure they are connected on the right pins.
