So I have followed all the steps posted in the sticky, and I am still screwed. Windupdates continually reappears after restarting. Then if I run a scan about 20 minutes later, I'll have about 20 other critical objects waiting for me. You guys provide a fantastic (volunteer) service. Your help is much appreciated by us computer illiterates. Anyways, thanks.

Download CleanUp!.
Don't run the program, we'll do that later.

You are running HijackThis from the Desktop; please create a new folder for it and move the program into the new folder.

***

Open HijackThis
Go to ‘config’
Go to ‘misc tools’
Press ‘open process manager’
Select the process, press ‘kill process’ (and repeat this if necessary):
MediaAccK.exe
MediaAccess.exe
press ‘back’ - 'scan'

Close all programs leaving only HijackThis running. Place a check against each of the following, making sure you get them all and not any others by mistake:

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Media Access] C:\Program Files\Media Access\MediaAccK.exe

We need to make sure all hidden files are showing so please:* Click Start.
* Open My Computer.
* Select the Tools menu and click Folder Options.
* Select the View Tab.
* Under the Hidden files and folders heading select Show hidden files and folders.
* Uncheck the Hide protected operating system files (recommended) option.
* Click Yes to confirm.
* Click OK.

Delete the following files:

C:\Program Files\Media Access\MediaAccK.exe

C:\Program Files\Media Access\MediaAccess.exe

Delete the following folders:

C:\Program Files\[b]PartyPoker\

Still in safe mode:
Find and doubleclick the file cleanup312.exe.

Go to option
Select ‘custom’
Put a check to:* Cookies
* Prefetch
* Temp
* All users.
Press 'cleanup!'

Once it's done, reboot the computer. This will remove files that were in use during the scan

Open HijackThis
Go to ‘config’
Go to ‘misc tools’
Press the button ‘open uninstall manager’
Press the button 'save log'.
Than press 'back' and 'scan'.

Post a fresh log using HijackThis by using the 'add reply' button in this topic. Also post the uninstall log.
