Is your system up to date?

You may also have an issue with you system, but look at the web page of the maker of the disk and there will be what you need to do in order to get the disk set to the correct size. It is a common problem.

If your drive isn't partitioned or something, more than likely you will need to update the bios. Be extremely careful doing so, as you hose that, you got a nice paperweight.
