Does anyone know where I can get the avc.sys driver for Windows ME? I am trying to get something from a camera to my computer and it says it can't find the avc.sys - all I can find is a restore disc for ME and I can't find avc.sys on it. Let me know if you have any clues! Thanks!

you could try this I do not know if it works I found it elsewhere
Windows ME hasn't
got the full set of drivers installed. Connect your camera
switch on the camera & check under settings, Control
panel, System, Devices .. that there is an added 'DV Camera'
section in the Sound and Video devices section. It may have a
yellow question mark symbol, in which case select it and then
'update drivers' .. it will then give you the option to install the
avc.sys files, I think, which will require your Win ME CD. If
not leave your computer connected to your 'phone line via the
the modem, and tell it to go look at the Windows Update site.

Also do you know how to find files on your computer at a guess you would have a folder called options if you have then yhis is most likely where the ME files are
