A lot of the hardware tools will depend on it having an OS, or you could get the ultimate boot CD

The full version here is good

If you get the ISO image you just burn it to a CD as an image file

Checking the memory is worth a look

Download Memtest

Run it overnight if possible

I wish I could run that overnight, but my Friend doesn't have access to a working floppy drive, or computer that has a working CD writer..

It is also on the ultimate boot CD so you can run it when you can use that

Thanks for EVERYTHING Keith. The computer works now. I wasn't able to go over there today, so my friend just copied what I was doing yesterday. He was able to get it to work with the Boot and Nuke.
