Ok, when I open the System Configuration Utility and try to change something, say one of the items in the Startup it gives me an error thats says:

Access denied, must be logged on as Administrator. Or something to that effect. Well I am logged on as an administrator, and it ends up accepting the change anyways. Any clue how I can resolve this?

Do you have the ZoneAlarm firewall? If so, temporarily disable it while you go into msconfig.
