Our hard drive is full and i could easily delete alot of stuff but i am wondering cuz i have lots of music and music videos and they are all in

My music
as well as Ares
as well as shared folders
as well as in Itunes

so the music in itunes does it take up space ?

my music is 5.4 gb so is itunes an additional 5,4 gigs or is it the same space

is itunes just an organizer?

help also if there is a program to delete any duplicate songs i think i have about 100 duplicates

much appreciated

thanks in advance

Itunes is not a organizer. It's one of the media player.

I don't have itunes, but I think I know what you're asking here. When you see all of your music in the itunes library, all that really is, is a path to the music file. It doesn't actually mean that the file was copied to an itune folder or anything like that. So, in other words, no it wouldn't be an extra 5.4Gb's.
