I have been trying now for the past few hours to reset my resolution.
Here is what i have been doing:

First i will go to the display properties

then to settings

then it says i have my computer set too 800X600 but in reality everything is huge!

I have reset the pixle settings and restarted my computer many times now and can't seem to be able to accomplish anything! aye! Thanks for any help you can offer!

You probably need to install display drivers for your graphics card. Please look into your settings in device manager and tell us what you have there for the display. It might be good to give the specifications of your computer so we can look it up to find the right drivers. Another thing you can do is download Everest home edition, run it, and see what it says you have for the graphics card.

Hello and thanks for your help! I have had the computer for over a year now its pretty weird! But here are my settings:

it says Intel® 82852/82855 GM/GME Graphics Controller

6.14.10.3856

The computer is an HP laptop I got a year ago and it runs windows XP. HP Pavillion dv1000

not sure if thats right or not.

Additionally though i can get it too reset and it looks correct for a second, and then it jumps to being big again. hm.

I can get any other information if needed also.

Thanks for your help!

On the bottom of your laptop you should be able to read which of these models is yours. Click on it and you should be able to find the graphics driver you need to download and run.
