In solution 2 where it has the hardware acceleration, try to increase it a bit to see if it affects the screen resolution, if so, keep adjusting it upwards until the rebooting starts
Then adjust it to the highest setting it will run at without the reboots

I have to be honest. I just realized that I was adjusting screen resolution and not hardware accelaration. I just adjusted it.

start saving your vital info such as pictures music important documents then get a xp cd service pack2 and reformatt

If you can run it without for a couple of days, if the PC runs properly, install Yahoo, if it crashes, there's the problem
