You may want to print out these instructions for reference, since you will have to restart your computer during the fix.

Please download FixWareout from one of these sites:
http://downloads.sub.../Fixwareout.exe
http://www.bleepingc.../Fixwareout.exe

Save it to your desktop and run it. Click Next, then Install, make sure "Run fixit" is checked and click Finish.
The fix will begin; follow the prompts. You will be asked to reboot your computer; please do so. Your system may take longer than usual to load; this is normal.

Once the desktop loads a text file will open (report.txt), you can close it - the file has already been saved.

Run HijackThis. Click "Do a System Scan Only", and place a check next to the following items (if found):

Copy the text in the following quote box into Notepad:

attrib -r -s -h C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\CSLCU.EXE
attrib -r -s -h C:\WINDOWS\system32\{89FDB279-8977-4C05-B25B-71190A56E824}.exe
del C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\CSLCU.EXE
del C:\WINDOWS\system32\{89FDB279-8977-4C05-B25B-71190A56E824}.exe

Save it to your desktop as ff.bat

Now, <double-click> the ff.bat file on the desktop.

A DOS window will briefly open/close

Then, browse to the fixwareout-folder present on your C:\
Open that folder and doubleclick FixIt.bat

This starts the fixwareoutfix again and will ask to reboot.

After reboot, post a new HijackThis! log together with the fixwareout log.

Are you sure I can download the SP2? :whistling: My problem started when I wanted to do just that..... I did and got an error and after that my computer wouldn't start anymore (when I looked on the internet on another comp I found this > see below), and I had to reinstall everything, what in the end led me to this infection you are helping me get rid of......

taken from: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/885523

SYMPTOMS
After you install Microsoft Windows XP Service Pack 2 (SP2), your computer repeatedly restarts with the following Stop error:
A problem has been detected and Windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer...
Technical information:
STOP: c0000135 {Unable To Locate Component}
This application has failed to start because winsrv was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem.
Note Your computer may restart immediately if it is configured to automatically restart when a system failure occurs. To turn off this option so that your computer does not restart, press F8 at startup, use the arrow keys to select the Disable automatic restart on system failure option, and then press ENTER.

CAUSE
This problem may occur if all the following conditions are true: • T.V. Media (TvMedia.tvmbho) from Total Velocity Corporation is installed on your computer.
