When Avast finds a trojan or a virus, it gives me a pop up notifying me about it. It gives me the options of deleting the trojan or moving it the to Virus Chest. However, once I press either of the buttons, it just pops up again. It seems like Avast is having troubles treating my viruses and trojans. Is this normal or should I get a new anti-virus program? :whistling:

Hi Matt L, I think I would uninstall Avast then download it
again and reinstall it. See it that takes care of problem.

Hi. If that doesn't seem to help, please post your HijackThis logfile in our Malware section, where your infection will be cleared up the advanced, and sometimes the best way.

Some pieces of malware cant always be completely removed by the AV especialy the newer nastier stuff hower a good AV with upto date database and decent heuristics can detect a virus but not neccesarily remove it, if avast is telling you you have malware you probably do its just particularly stubborn or well hidden go over to the malware section and get checked out before you do anything.
