So, I was cleaning off my computer and went through and deleted old programs (like some stupid games and stuff) off the Add/Remove programs area. Then I freed up space on my hard drive with the XP program that does that. Compressing old files and deleting temp stuff. Then I defragged it. Afterwards, my sounds have been heavily distorted. It's been heavy treble and vibrato. And it's not just music files either, but all sounds. For example, the message box "donk" sound... sounds more like a "twang" now. My PC is a compaq presario 6000 and I already tried downloading the SoundMAX Digital Audio driver, incase I accidentaly deleted it (though I don't think the system would have let me do that...) Please help! I can't live on my computer without music!! :whistling:
