Infrared in XP doesnt seem to work

It appears that my infrared is setup, but will not transfer or see the other computer... Also, my laptop can connect to the internet via my wireless connection but I have to use a dailup connection when I need to upload or download to the company server...How do I set up my laptop to use my wireless connection as opposed to the dailup connection???

I would talk to your Company's System Administrator about connecting to the server though a wireless internet connection.
