Laptop vs. Notebook: Just Semantics or Is there a difference?

Sounds silly, but I really need to ask: Is there a difference between a "laptop" and a "notebook"? If so, what?

No there is technically no difference however a some describe a notebook as a smaller laptop.

It's a trend in a sense as well... For a while, everything was a notebook, and now it seems like more of a mix... I think it depends on what sounds better :whistling:
