Computer was contented to the internet and was downloading files when computer was shut down, when we restarted the computer we could not get recontented to internet or network places.

We put a new network card in a different slot and still has the problem. When we look at LOCAL AREA CONNECTION STATUS it shows the cards as connected, working properly, under activities say packets being sent but nothing recieving. We check cable to computer and hooked another computer to that cable and works just fine.

We uninstalled real player and window media player thinking that might be the problem. We still have mozilla firefox and internet explorier 6 on computer. We ran the spybot on computer and found no problem. The computer is running fine expect can not get on the internet. I ran hijackthis and here what it says.

What can I do to get back on the internet and network places?

Thanks

Harryjoe

Have you checked in device manager to see if that driver is correct?

device is working correctly and right drive. I took it out and put it another computer and fine. I put two different cards in with there drivers and same problem. Its can find network card, say correct driver, says connected, It lights up on the ethernet switch box so it sees it.

It's sending but not recieving, it show's 0. Its like when computer turned off durning downloading it has something stuck in the cpu.

We did remove mozilla firefox, all media players and nothing.

Thanks
