Hi
I am used to using KazaaLite K++ and I recently downloaded a trial version of MS onecare Firewall. Maybe MS has set itself up as an internet policeman, but now I try to connect with Kazaa I get a message that Firewall has blocked it. Clicking on the Allow in Future button makes no difference.
Now it's not totally straightforward. Onecare says the file name is KazaaLite.kpp and the location is shown as C:\progfiles\kazaa lite tools K++\KazaaLite.kpp

So, I decided to just go in and tell firewall to let this file connect to the internet BUT although I have a folder Kazaa Lite Tools K++ the folder does not contain a file called KazaaLite.kpp

There is an executable called kpp, and in fact its the icon that appears in my start menu. I went into the Firewall/Advanced tab of onecare and tried adding kpp and kpp.exe manually, but it's still blocking it.

Any suggestions please? Before you suggest this one, I am going to dump the onecare, but it's a dickens knowing what to replace it with. NOrton? I tried Penguin and that was crap out of the gate, but at least it allowed Kazaa

Thanks
Phil

Well if your looking for a good firewall I would recomend zone alarm or kerio. If you don't mind getting into advanced firewall configurations sygate is also pretty good.
