Hi there, i have a problem with my Internet connection sharing (ICS). I go into properties on my internet connection via a right click ( im using 8mb broadband via a USB modem ) and then go to advanced to turn on the ICS, i get this message

'Windows cannot display the properties of this connection. The Windows managment instrumentation might be corrupted. To correct this, use system restore to restore windows to an earlier time (called a restore point). System restore is located in the system tools folder in accessories.'

Ive looked around for solution to this and ive tried the following:

using recovery console to delete the INDEX.BTR and OBJECTS.DATA files, then rebooting. Still get the same message.

I cannot use a system restore point because my system in only 5 days old and there is nothing to restore to.

I dont want to reinstall windows because trhe syetm is new and i have only just loaded all my stuff onto it.

Any suggestions??

Thankyou!! :whistling:  :help:
