I did as you instructed, and MDM is no longer running, though I knew it wasn't going to help. You see, Machine Debug Manager was running as part of my Startup when I first started posting my HJT logs in the Spyware/Malware Forums. And my WinDVD Creator was still working then, because I was using it every night (while waiting for JStngRvr's replies to help me with the spyware.) A couple days into the cleanup, WinDVD Creator started failing to run, though it had run the night before. When I edited my last post to JStngRvr that night to complain about WinDVD Creator failing to run, it had JUST happened for the first time.

Process of elimination leads me to believe that the only NEW thing I'd done since the start of the clean up was to download and install the plug in to allow Panda Active Scan's Online Scan program to run. But I can't for the life of me figure out how to completely rid myself of it. I've disabled it in my IE Manage Plug Ins section, but something is likely still there, and it doesn't give me the choice to delete a plug in, only to enable/disable it. The Panda website is no help whatsoever, probably because they don't want to tell people how to get rid of their software, only how to update and upgrade it :whistling:

So I have no idea what to do next. Here's my last HJT log:

Maybe you can use "system restore" to go back to the time before you installed it. Let me know if you want to try this and don't know how.

Before I use System Restore, I need a few questions answered.

When I go back in time to a reset point, does it undo everything that's been done since that point? Will it remove programs and files I've downloaded? Changes I've made to documents I have on my PC?

I'm also worried that it will all be for nothing - JStngRvr had me reset my System Restore Points after we got rid of my nasty malware infection - and after my WinDVD Creator stopped running due to an active debugger :whistling: So I'm worried that using System Restore will unecessarily mess things up - and fail to fix my problem anyway

I would greatly appreciate more knowledgable opinions on the finer points and consequences of using System Restore :help:
