Hi there, i'm facing a problem here.
The first time i encoutered this problem is yesterday after the AVG virus scan prompt me to restart the windows to complete the healing process. And right after i restarted, the windows first give me an error message that says "windows cannot find certain file named 1". Then whatever i clicked on the desktop or shortcuts in start menu, a message will pop up and tells me that "windows do not have access to specified devices or path", and fail to run. The only programme i can run is Firefox, but must click the shortcut in the main start menu and not the shortcut in desktop.

This morning i tried to boot up in safe mode, and i was able to open those programmes. and so i did a virus scan with AVG free edition. the results show me that these files are infected by Trojan Horse PSW.Generic2.FSV:

******************************************************

And after AVG tried to heal the virus, and i was required to restart again. Yet, the problem is still there. But now, whenever i click the programs on the desktop, the "Open With" windows show up to let me choose to open the .exe file, for example, i want to open IrfanView.exe, and the 'Open With" window will pop up to ask me choose a program to open 'Irfanview.exe'. Now if i want to open Irfanview, i have to first click on any.exe file, then in the 'Open With' Window i have to browse for the file and then only i can use IrfanView.
