Not sure if this is the right area for this, not sure if its hardware or software issue.

Have a generic pc with an AMD Athlon XP 1900+ 2.0 Ghz chip. Kept rebooting after a couple hours of usage. Replaced power supply, seems to have cured that problem. But now I have another problem. When I shut down, instead of staying off, it powers back on and starts to reboot. I'm thinking a problem with the motherboard, but I'm not positive. Could use a little help.
