I am trying to put pictures on a DVD, then add more pictures. I am using Cyberling Power2Go. I can put the first group of pictures on the DVD. When I try to add another group, the program will not let me. It ask me if I want to erase the disk, I say No, and it aborts the process. I am using a DVD+RW disk. I thought you could add to this disk and edit it. Why can't I add pictures to the disk?

Remove the tick for close disc

Close disc: Checking this option write-protects the disc. No further data can be appended to the disc after the current burning session.

Thank you for the info. The tick for close disc is not available for me to use. It is on the screen, but I cannot access it and it is not checked. This program came with my computer, so I am thinking I need to upgrade to the full version. I also have Windows Media Center and have the same problem in trying to add to a disc. I tried to check the settings, but there were not many options.

I have a DVD with images and it takes a fair while to load, just image folders may be better on CDR

Will you be making them as slide shows / picture stories

I was wanting to put the pictures on the DVD as a slide show to send to family so they could see the pictures on their DVD player. I wanted to be able to add new pictures to the DVD so the pictures could be grouped by event. Is this something that cannot be done on a DVD?

Options are:

Sending the disc to them, them sending it back for additions will probably cost more than using a new disc

If the images will stay on the PC then you can just add the new items to existing folders

Photo Story 3 has a 20 USD plug in for this but that is all it will do

Nero have a trial version though expect to pay 60 USD if you decide to buy it

Looking at it, for a disc to play in a home player, it has to be finalised, so you wouldn't be able to add content

You could use a DVDRW disc, then erase it and rewrite it with the updates included, this depends on you keeping the original images, either on the drive or on DVDRW discs so you can load them on to the PC
