My laptop has been slower than usual recently, after some snooping, in the system properties box it says i have 240MB of RAM. I didn't think this was possible, i thought they came in multiples of 128MB? That should mean i have 256, which im sure i had, but where has it gone?

Sorry for the delay

If you click start, all programmes, accessories, system tools, system information, is that where you got the 240MB from

If you have 256 with 64 onboard then it should be 192MB

From the system Information box it says total physical memmory of 256, then under it, it says, available physical memmory 50.11MB...
Maybe its just all in my head that its slower than usual?

Have you done these recently

Click start, all programmes, accessories, system tools to run disc clean up

Click start, all programmes, accessories, system tools to run disc defragmenter

Having 50MB free is the likely cause
