First of all thanks for any taking the time to read this. Okay, sorry for the extra processes running to read through in the log but I have tried everything from system restore, to every spyware program I can find and I'm a bit stressed out so I won't close them all for the millionth time. (so yes I followed the steps as listed before posting) Well anyways here is the history...after going to a site that was not what it was Norton found an at risk file saying it was CDT. Later trying things nothing was workign but then Norton stopped finding it so I assumed I somehow got it out. Later though I downloaded a show that was not a show (yeah I won't be downloading any unknowns anytime soon) but some pop up thing. I turned off comp and ran norton and it came up with 3 bad things, 2 CDT things and something else...anyways that all went away too later, Norton not finding anything. Later I scan with something else though and it finds 4 things. I do several spyware programs and system restoring...and now I end up with my problem I am here for. The panda software scanning program is finding this one thing in my registry.

Spyware:Spyware/Searchcentrix No disinfected Windows Registry

I do as 2-spyware.com asks me. Here

SearchCentrix manual removal:
Delete registry values:
'HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Classes \ CLSID {CD2A865B-6C0F-44F9-BAA1-7CDB31E04BC8}'
'HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Explorer \ Browser Helper Objects {CD2A865B-6C0F-44F9-BAA1-7CDB31E04BC8}'

Delete files:
BarBHO.dll

But I find none of these using regedit. I have it set to show all hidden files and protected operating system files (if that even matters).

On an additional note I know I have backweb going on but I have a compaq and I hear for some at least that this is needed or otherwise things go bad if you remove. Is that right?

Thanks to anyone who can help!

Hmm...did something that apperently got rid of the CWS because now panda scan thing does not find it though still the searchcentrix. Can this panda scan thing be fooled and the CWS still be there? I never know anymore and different scanners find different things which already makes it confusing to me.

Hi Isson

Welcome to geekstogo

Please read through the instructions before you start (you may want to print this out).

You are running HijackThis from the Desktop; please create a new folder C:\HJT and move HijackThis.exe into the new folder

Download the Backdoor.Agent.B Removal Tool from Symantec.
Follow Symantec's instructions for how to run it.
http://securityrespo...moval.tool.html

Please set your system to show all files; please see here if you're unsure how to do this.

Close all programs leaving only HijackThis running. Place a check against each of the following, making sure you get them all and not any others by mistake:
O2 - BHO: (no name) - {549B5CA7-4A86-11D7-A4DF-000874180BB3} - (no file)
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [AlcxMonitor] ALCXMNTR.EXE
O16 - DPF: {56336BCB-3D8A-11D6-A00B-0050DA18DE71} (RdxIE Class) - http://software-dl.r...ip/RdxIE601.cab

Click on Fix Checked when finished and exit HijackThis.

Reboot into Safe Mode: please see here if you are not sure how to do this.

Using Windows Explorer, locate the following files/folders, and delete them:

ALCXMNTR.EXE

Exit Explorer,

Reboot into normal mode.

Please run the following free, online virus scans.
http://www.pandasoft...n_principal.htm
http://housecall.tre.../start_corp.asp

Please post the logs From both virus scans and HJT.log we will need them to remove previous infections that have left files on your system.

Well I asked for help other places too and already did what I could...the problem MIGHT be solved. The problem IS the panda scan which is what is finding the searchcentrix in the first place...and I was told it would be a false positive. Here is a new hijackthis log...I don't know what else to get rid of...

Hi Isson

Download the ccleaner
I use this Program and is setup like this all boxs are check. Then chose Auto start.
Now run the ccleaner

Clean out all temp files in Mozilla, Internet Explorer.
Internet Explorer: Tools/ Internet Options/ General/ Temporary internet files/ Delete Files (NOTE, that this may take very long!). You can also set the memory limit to about 80 MB at the Settings.

Mozilla: Edit/ Options/ Extended/ Cache/ Clear Cache

Turn of system restore
Disabling or enabling Windows XP System Restore

Defrag your hard drive turn system restore back on and create a new restore point.

Congratulations! Your system is CLEAN :tazz:
