Just had a very strange pop up box appear on my pc.
Its a microsoft window and it said,,,

hmm not really enough information to diagnose the issue....

however do you pay for and download music through windows media player or something? cause usually subcription manager or that is related to downloading music and the wmp getting the licenses for the song or checking your subcription...

I wouldnt worry about it being a virus or something

Hi there,
I agree,, dont think its anything malicious,, just very puzzled.
Doesnt appear to be anything on the web about it,, even on MS site.

Have had pcs for nearly 5 years,, never seen it before.

I have media player 11 beta for my music needs,, but i downloaded the beta months ago and havent had any issues with it all. Very strange.
I do download music from time to time( pay per track or album ), but again,, have been doing it for years and havent seen this before ???

that is probably all it is then... I used to download music from msn through wmp, and I had that subscription window...

there is a process running called wdfmgr.exe (first time I saw that process I thought, whatda*uckmanager.exe thats gotta be a virus)which handles this type of things, it was probably a routine scheduled checkup on your subcription or something with wmp...

Doesnt appear to have changed anything within wmp11,
or restricted any access to any of my music files :whistling:

Wont worry about it any further, it appears no harm has been done.
Cheers,, thanks for your help.
