I'm trying to install a plextor usb dvd burner on a machine and I seem to be having some problems. I've check the plextor site with no solutions in site. What happens is I plug the burner in, my machine sees it, and assigns it a drive letter. I can view the burner's hardware profile and it says it is working correctly. The problem is that when I try to use the burner, read a dvd or anything, it tells me that there is an I/O conflict error. The machine is a win XP Pro machine. I have an internal cdrw and an internal plextor dvd burner also. As far as usb items I just have a digital camera (Isn't plugged in much), 2 usb jumpdrives (also just plugged in when I need them), and a card reader which isn't plugged in. Any help would greatly be appreciated.

Ok, so when I got home I checked it out again. It seems I was a little confused. Here is the actual error message "the request could not be preformed because of an I/O device error". I would greatly appreciate any help.
