Hi.

For some reason a similar topic I posted was deleted.

I'm trying to create a boot disc for my new laptop which is not letting me into Windows. My laptop did NOT come with a boot disc...only a recovery CD.

I've downloaded, to my old computer, a WinXP Home Edition RAR file

Is there some way, upon extraction, to know if I downloaded the correct version -- SP1 that is.

Please let me know. Someone tried to answer my question earlier, but he wasn't quite getting what I was asking. If this isn't clear, please just tell me why, and i will try to clarify further.

This topic is being closed, as well. As stated in the other one, we cannot help you in using an illegally obtained copy of Windows.

Thank you.
