Okay I am at home now with my laptop and PC, now will I need to buy a crosswise cable or shall I download SyncToy?

I don't know what you mean by home network, but we have a router with multiple users, is that what a home network is?

K I made a home network, and now I am just manually dragging the files to the shared folder and putting them on my laptop, the Synctoy is okay, but doesn't always succesfully transfer.
