I experience something special. I was installing a Security Suite on the computer of a friend (he didn't feel confident enough, in fact... and, since my job is in computers - i'm programmer - he naturally come to me)
But... Suddenly, while scanning the first time after installation : blue screen, immediate shut down, and so on.
What is it ? I desactivate the error reporting (what boring is dumprep !!), tried online scan (bitdefender, then housecall...) The same....
So, I run AdAware, update it (it was already installed, last time I had to help him...) run... Two infections : TrojanDownloader and something else
Then, load S&D, update and scan. 15 infections were removed (all of them with only registry items)
I restarted the computer, and yet another online scan? BSOD ! Grr !
I fear that there could be a rootkit on his computer. He do use it for some banking operations... So I am really stressed for him...
