-Not sure if this is the appropriate forum, it's as close as I could get for the moment.

Would anyone happen to know of a link to a freeware download for recoverying lost files and folders from a hard drive?

Recently I have had to restore my computer and before doing so I backed up my C: drive to my secondary drive with the MicroSoft NT Backup utitlity, but for some reason when the Destructive Recovery program formatted the C: drive it also removed the backup file from the secondary drive.

Its late in the month and I am broke and I really need to get back up with my pc. So if anyone would happen to know where I may obtain a freeware, it would greatfully appreciated!

In my search attempts I have come accross disappointing trialware programs that made me wait two hours scanning the drive, then showed me my lost folders exactly the way they were originally written, then when it cam time to recover them -oooppps! sorry, it told me that I need to purchase the full version to recover the folders and files. What a bummer!

Please help!
