Has anyone had problems with incorrect readings?

I have it running and TEMP1 is reading 127C!!! I almost expect to see somthing glowing red at that temp!!

I opened my case, and I can find out what it is. My CPU, HDD, South Bridge and RAM feel fine. My Video Card feels midly warm, but not 127C. My North bridge has been flucuating, somtimes it feels warm, other times it feels hot, and somtimes it feels quite hot, but I still do not beleive it is 127C. I have Everest, but I'm having trouble finding the temp readings. I don't know weather to panic, or ignore it. I'm not having any problems, so my guess would be it's only a bad reading or somthing.

Hello,
I have never personally used the program, but have heard form many others that when temps are VERY high that there really isn't a sensor there. Anyways if something wsa running that hot i would have expected it to crash a while back.
thanx

Believe me, if something really was at 127 degrees C, you'd have known about it long before now, or there'd be clues such as plumes of smoke coming from the unit...

But anyway, this is just a reading taken from a sensor on the board that is working, but isn't actually connected to anything. Some report nothing, others give an arbitury figure. Nothing to worry about.

Some bios reports temps so you could look there and see if it says anything. I have the same problem with a old athlon gateway computer. Temps are way off. System voltages are wacky also. System should'nt even run on what speedfan says they are.
