I have just downloaded the latest version of 3D mark, ( free version,), and done a system scan.
I have just got a 3D mark score of , wait for it,,,, 471 !!! :whistling:

Now, i dont have a gaming pc, but i do watch a lot of dvds, and live tv (via my tv card).

My pc has a 3ghz cpu, 1.5gig of ddr2 sdram, over 200gb of free hardrive space.
I have an ATI x700 graphics card,
Creative audigy zx4 soundcard,
Happaugue pvr150 tv card.

The pc is less than 3 months old, H/Threading, 64bit archetecture, and is running xp home edition (sp2).

Although i dont really know anything about benchmarking,, a score of 471 is enough to make me very worried.
Arent the 3d scores supposed to be measured in the thousands ???

My pc isnt a gaming beast,, but its not an old donkey either,,, whats going on ???

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Problem solved,,,,
Nipped over to the oc forum and had a sniff around...
Got advised to run version 05 instead.

Tried 3D mark 05 , and got a much better score.

Thanks anyway.

For 06 that sounds ok high end system on 06 will be 2000-3000 and your specs arent very impressive. And for only 3 months old doesnt look great unless it was cheapish decent mid range system though.
