I have a linksys wireless router b 2.4ghz and I have a laptop dell 8600 insprion w/integrated wireless. Now just about everyday my laptop wireless is not picking up the router unless I unplug the router power and plug it back in from the main source the desktop then it picks it up .Now at times when I turn on my desktop which the router is connected to It doesn't connect to the internet I have to unplug the router sometimes then unplug the DSL modem which is verizon, then it comes on in or about 5 times of unplugging it.In my linksys setup page~ I have it set to ppoe, and I have a security setup with a network key ..I am wondering if my router is going bad or have I set up something wrong on my laptop..I know when I leave my desktop connected to the internet my laptop works .. :whistling:

Hi. Becuase you say that both computers have the same issue, I'm leaning toward saying that the router or the modem are going bad. Do either seem like they're overheating? How old are they?

Does Verizon have anything to say about this? If you bought both from them then they should be more than willing to help you fully.
