Does anyone know what I can do about an LCD screen that won't turn off? It stays on standby all the time unless you unplug it, I really have no idea what to do because it is not under warranty :whistling:. It was made in 2003, so I don't why it would die so quickly.

Live with it until it dies altogether (or buy a new monitor). My old CRT monitor does this. Works fine, just can't switch it off at the power switch, have to physically unplug it. Mind you it was 7yrs old when it started doing this.

Doesn't do the monitor any harm to physically unplug it when you're done, in fact just plug it and the base and the printer/scanner/whatever into one four-port gangway and switch that off at the wall instead.
