that is the message we get when we attempt to play a CD using our default software (Sonic). by using Player Media Experience we can play the CD's great, so evidently nothing wrong with physical CD Rom. When we try to play a CD with Sonic it sounds like it is turning than stops. I go to Start/Run/d: and it shows the tracks but when I click on one to play it shows the message as noted in Topic title. This is a Dell 4600 w/XP home and was working great until we had to tear down the system to move the desk and when all was reconnected the problem appeared. All other applications including sound and mic work fine. Can you suggest something? Thanks
