In my device manager I have the little yellow exclamation points indicating a problem with several devices including the dvd burner, a few audio controllers, and the plug and play software device enumerator. When I try to uninstall and reinstall these devices using the add hardware tool I get this message:

A problem occured during hardware installation. Your new hardware may not work properly

In the device manager when I click on properties for the malfunctioning devices I get this message:

Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39)

Please advise if you know what I should do.
Thanks,
Alan

I get this message:

The wizard could not find a better match for your hardware than the software you currently have installed.
