dell 4400 and looking for a good video card

I am looking for some advice,

Dell 4400
1.70 ghz, 512 ram
geforce2 mx
agp 4x slot
windows xp home

wanting to upgrade for cheap

is the SAPPHIRE RADEON 9600XT 256M Radeon 9600XT 256MB DDR AGP 4X/8X Video Card - OEM
1) a good card
2) comparable to the 6600 gt ?
3) will it play some of current games
4) does it have pixel shaders (looking to pay lego starwars 2 also)

It kind of depends on how much it costs and how much you are looking to spend. It's not going to play resource hungry games like Oblivion, but if you are willing to turn down the settings and resolution you can probably play most games.

You might also consider increasing your RAM from 512 to 1G. You will see a dramatic improvement in games and other applications.
