Hello, in need of serious help. this www.winantivirus.com adware/malware keeps popping. we have symantec anti virus which detected winfixer about two months ago, but it quartined it and deleted it from the system. not soon after this www.winantivirus.com started. We runa symantec scan every week and it has not pickup anything. Just a few minutes ago i ran a Xoftspy scan and it came back with these as Serious Infections:
Winfixer- C:\\windows\system32\vtstq.dll
vx2.mypanicbutton- C:\\windows\kwv2.dat
about:blank-software\microsoft\internet exploer\main\searchbar:@:about:blank
zedo cookie- C:\\document and setting\username\cookies\username\zedo[2].txt


tried to find the winfixer file, couldn't but did find it in the Hijackthis log:

Download VundoFix.exe by Atribune from here and save it to your desktop.to your desktop.
  • Close all open programs and windows as this may require a reboot.
  • Double-click VundoFix.exe to run it.
  • Click the Scan for Vundo button.
  • Once it's done scanning, click the Remove Vundo button.
  • You will receive a prompt asking if you want to remove the files, click YES
  • Once you click yes, your desktop will go blank as it starts removing Vundo.
  • When completed, it will prompt that it will shutdown your computer, click OK.
  • Turn your computer back on.
  • Post the contents of C:\vundofix.txt and a new HiJackThis log.

Run HJT:
  • Click Open the Misc Tools section.
  • Click Open Uninstall Manager...
  • Click Save list... and save it to your Desktop.
  • Copy and paste the file uninstall_list.txt into your next reply.
