Sorry for making my first post a question.
I was passed on to this forum by a friend, ( REM on here ).
My partner and I are emigrating from the UK to Australia and I am in the process of trying to put a portfolio website together for prospective employers. It is in the VERY early stages of progress, I am just trying to suss out what I want to see on it a the moment.
It will be a very simple site, frame based, with three frames. A header, a navigation frame and the main viewing frame.
I am a 3D structural designer and I use a package called Tekla Structures, ( Xsteel ), for my job. This package allows users to make small 3D web based models from the main construction model. I would like to add some of these models into my website to show prospective employers the jobs I have worked on.
The website viewer uses Java.
I have successfully stripped out all of the banners and stuff that I don't want from the 3D viewer template so that I just end up with the 3D model and the rotation and zoom tools. This works great, ( although it does say 'errors on page' ).
The problem is when I try and open within my frame - the rotate commands don't work.
If I alter the hyperlink to open the model in a new explorer, all is well. If I change the hyperlink to open the model in a frame - it doesn't work.
Is there anyone on here with some knowledge of java that could take a look for me? It's not 'live' yet, so I can e-mail the files if anyone has 5 minutes to spare.
Thanks.
