After contacting mcafee support who had me download an exe and a fix that they deem was for "performance issues" which yielded NO improvement, whatsoever, I invested two hours plus this morning. I ran a full system virus scan with my mcafee (which found NOTHING btw, not even spyware and that is suspicious eh?) and then I downloaded ad-aware se, following your procedure, and found 14 files including something called IEHijacker. What is that by the way? And then I ran the CWS shredder which detected and removed one file.
Now the machine is running MUCH better.....but I wouldn't mind someone looking over my most recent hijack this log to see if i am all clear now....thanks.
