I think we're spinning our wheels here....the command line box is darn odd.

If you want to take a look at event viewer,perhaps that will help, but ultimately I think you're just better off going with a repair...please see the thread that is pinned atop this forum

I've narrowed my problem down to a startup program. The Program I found that causes the pc to shut down at bootup is labeled drivers and the file is c:\windows\drivers.bat. Does anyone know what this file is? Is it corrupted do I have a virus that an updated Norton 2005 antivirus isn't picking up? How do I fix the problem.? I turned it off at startup and it starts fine, but do I have a bigger problem that I'm just hiding.
