cause i been having a problem and it cant be fixed. i already asked the people here. if i do then i get a a whole new system. i read the other thread about downloading the drives which i have done.

What I have now is:
-Windows installation disc
-Disc with drivers
-Disc with windows SP2
-Disc with anti-virus and anti-spyware program (Optional)
-All other programs installationfiles and my own documents safely on an external drive (Optional)

Are these the things i need?

If XP is already on there, and is XP Home it should go like this

http://www.theelderg...l_-_graphic.htm

In figure 5 you will get a different screen because XP is already installed, you need to press ESC to install a fresh copy without repairing

In figure 6 you type D, press enter, type L, press enter, let it format to NTFS default, (not quick)

After a few minutes you will see the yellow progress bar shown in figure 11

The rest of the install is the same as here

Did you change the boot order and start set up properly, or just insert the disc and choose install XP?
