Hi,

As the title suggests, I get a red cross instead of the image to be displayed on most web pages. This doesn't seem to be the case with all images, I get the problem with about 70% of images. Please help.

Hi valleyboy,

Try this first please:
http://www.microsoft...clearcache.mspx

If that doesn't work, can you give us a little more information?
Which browser(s) are you using and if it is Internet Explorer let me know which updates were installed last.

Also see if the images that don't load all have the same extension.
For example: if .jpg works and .gif doesn't.

Regards,

Thanks,
I have already tried emptying the cache, I've also reduced the maximum ammount of data to 100MB. I am using IE 6.0.2900.2180.xpsp.050928-1517 Update version is SP2. It looks as though I am having trouble with .jpg images, though I can view these with no problems on some web sites. I have a second PC and have tried to view the same images with this to no avail, maybe it is a problem with the host site?

The problem occurs at one site only?

Can you give us a URL for that site or is it not "family-friendly" ?

I was looking at this site http://www.portland-direct.co.uk/

I can't give you a direct link to the page but if you search for a holiday on 10th November 2006 from Bristol to Gran Canaria for 2 people, then select the first hotel in the list that appears, you will now be looking at a page that I have a problem with.

Thanks

That would be:
Cay Beach Meloneras Bungalows ?

That is pointing to this jpg:
http://www.portland-...v00/437/067.jpg
which is not available.

There is a problem with the site and not with your computer. :whistling:
